As Peter and John were preaching at Solomon’s Colonnade about Yeshua and the resurrection of the dead, the temple guards arrested them and held them for trial the next day on a charge of sorcery. Nevertheless, 5,000 of those who heard Peter and John's message believed the gospel. At their trial, Peter and John were asked by whose power they had healed the lame beggar. Peter proudly proclaimed that it was by the name of Yeshua, the Messiah, whom the Sanhedrin had crucified. Peter said that Yeshua is the only way to salvation.
