Steven was a man of great miracles and compassion, filled with the Ruach Hakodesh (Holy Spirit). Steven was mobbed and brought before the Sanhedrin where false witnesses testified that Steven regularly blasphemed against the Temple and the Law. Instead of offering a defense, Steven went on the offensive. Steven argued that historically Israel as a nation was constantly unable to recognize the deliverers that God raised up for them such as Moses, Joseph, the prophets, and now Yeshua.
