Peter came to see Cornelius, though at the time, Jews did not associate with Gentiles. However, God was revealing that the barriers between Jews and Gentiles should and were about to come down. As Peter explained how Yeshua died and rose again, the Ruach HaKodesh (Holy Spirit) fell upon the Gentiles who were in the room, and they began to speak in tongues. These Gentiles had heard the good news about Yeshua and believed. God valued Gentile salvation so much He used visions, dreams, and tongues to show authenticate its reality.
