The book of Acts tells the story of the beginning of the Church - those who were called to be "witnesses" for Yeshua, the Messiah. The author, Luke, presents a series of vignettes of Church history as well as the overlapping stories of two Jewish men who were prominent leaders in the Church. Peter goes from a brash loudmouth to an elder statesman, and Paul goes from the Church's number one enemy to the Church's number one promoter.
